1. Scope and Acceptance
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the website www.rc-restaurante.pt, making table reservations and purchasing Fado Evening Experiences via the online booking and checkout system operated by Trilhos do Tomilho II, Unipessoal, Lda. By browsing the website, making a booking or completing a purchase, you accept these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of this document.

- 3.2 Table bookings — by telephone, WhatsApp, email or via the contact form (free of charge), or via the website’s online booking system (subject to a booking fee)
- 3.3 Buy Fado Evening Experiences (dinner and show) online, with checkout and advance payment
4. Table Bookings
4.1 Bookings by telephone, WhatsApp, email or via the contact form — free of charge, subject to availability. Confirmation is sent by email, WhatsApp or telephone. Please let us know as far in advance as possible if you wish to cancel or change your booking. No-shows without prior notice may affect our ability to accept future bookings from the same customer.
4.2 Bookings made via the website’s online booking engine — subject to the payment of a booking fee at the time of checkout. Payment is processed via IfthenPay, under the same terms as set out in clause 5.3, and the booking is only confirmed once payment has been confirmed.
- The booking fee is non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the customer or a no-show, in accordance with the same principle as set out in clause 5.5
- The same exclusion from the right of free cancellation as set out in point 5.6 (Article 17(1)(k) of Decree-Law No 24/2014) applies, as this is a catering service with a specific date and time
4.3 Large groups and private events — specific conditions may apply; these will be communicated at the time of booking [SET — minimum number of people, signal, cancellation]
5. Booking Fado Evening Experiences (Online Checkout)
5.1 Description — dinner with a live Fado performance, on a specific date and at a specific time, as described on the experience page at the time of purchase.
5.2 Price — Prices shown in euros (€) include VAT at the statutory rate in force. Drinks or extras not included in the package are charged separately, as per the menu.
5.3 Payment — processed via the IfthenPay (Multibanco, MB WAY, Payshop or credit/debit card). Your booking for the Experience will only be confirmed once payment has been confirmed.
5.4 Confirmation — Once payment has been made, a confirmation email is sent out containing the details of the Experience, which serves as proof of purchase.
5.5 Cancellation and refunds
- Cancellation at the customer’s request, including a “no-show”: no refund will be given, regardless of how far in advance the order is placed
- If RC Restaurante cancels the Experience, or is unable to provide the service for reasons attributable to it: a full refund of the amount paid
- In the event of force majeure preventing the Experience from taking place on the scheduled date: a full refund or, at the customer’s discretion, rescheduling to a new date
5.6 Right of Withdrawal — Pursuant to Article 17(1)(k) of Decree-Law No 24/2014 of 14 February, contracts for restoration and from services relating to leisure activities that specify a particular date or period for their provision — such as the Fado Night Experience — are excluded from the 14-day right of withdrawal applicable to other distance purchases. By confirming your purchase, you acknowledge and accept this exclusion; in its place, the cancellation policy set out in clause 5.5 applies.
6. The Customer’s Obligations
- Please provide accurate and up-to-date details when making a booking or purchase
- To have the legal capacity to enter into contracts and make online payments
- During the Fado performance, please observe the house rules, in particular the request for silence during the performances, out of respect for the Fado tradition and for other guests
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this website (text, images, logo, videos) is the property of RC Restaurante or is duly licensed; its reproduction, distribution or use without prior written authorisation is prohibited.
8. Limitation of Liability
RC Restaurante accepts no liability for technical disruptions to the website or the payment processor that are beyond its reasonable control, for indirect damages resulting from the use of the website, or for breaches caused by force majeure. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights that cannot be limited by law, in particular consumer rights.
9. Third-Party Content and Links
The website may include links to third-party platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TripAdvisor, TheFork, Yelp, Google Maps, WhatsApp), which have their own terms and policies, for which RC Restaurante is not responsible.
10. Protection of Personal Data
The processing of personal data in connection with bookings, purchases and the use of the website is governed by RC Restaurante’s Privacy Policy, which is available on the website and forms an integral part of these Terms and Conditions.
11. Complaints
In accordance with the law, RC Restaurante provides a physical complaints book at the premises and an electronic complaints book at www.livroreclamacoes.pt.
12. Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes (RAL)
In the event of a consumer dispute that cannot be resolved directly with us, you may refer the matter to an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) body. Under the terms of Law No. 144/2015, we hereby inform you that RC Restaurante is not legally obliged to use these bodies, but the body with territorial jurisdiction is:

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute shall be settled by the court of the district of Porto, without prejudice to the consumer’s right to bring proceedings before the court of their place of residence, in accordance with the applicable law.
14. Changes to these Terms
RC Restaurante may update these Terms and Conditions at any time; the current version is always the one published on the website, which states the date of the last update. Purchases that have already been confirmed are governed by the terms in force at the time of purchase.
