The story
The RC Restaurant
RC – Restaurante is a historic Porto restaurant founded in 1894 by Manuel Recarey Antelo, set within the Forrester Building on Rua do Infante Dom Henrique, in Ribeira.
It preserves its original Art Nouveau décor and architecture — one of the best-kept examples in Portugal — within Porto's Historic Centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We serve contemporary traditional Portuguese cuisine, with fresh fish daily, seafood, select meats and an exceptional wine list, accompanied by live Fado every night at dinner.

Since 1894, RC – Restaurante has occupied the historic Forrester Building — former residence of Baron Forrester, a central figure in bringing Port wine to the world.
We are located at Rua do Infante Dom Henrique, 77, Porto, just steps from Cais da Ribeira, the Dom Luís Bridge and São Bento Station, within the UNESCO-classified Historic Centre.
A brilliant experience; the place is really lovely and welcoming. The food was delicious and the service was top-notch.
